| J.L. King - Nothing but a PROFITEERING SYCOPHANT!!!
I try to be generally sensitive to other folks' stance on issues, events and PEOPLE, but this is ONE situation where I can honestly say I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!!! Please allow me a few lines to vent. I'd read one or two excerpts from J.L. King's book in the past and had been truly turned off by his lack of sincerity and denial. My first question is: who made this nigga an authority on ANYTHING, talk less of the DL Lifestyle! Nothing about him is DL apart from the fact that his whole propaganda is a scheme to heap up wealth for himself on the behalf of others! How can this notoriety even claim knowlegde of anything judging from what he's said of himself and his dealings??? I watched him with impunity on Oprah yesterday and if I ever had fears about his sanity, those fears were confirmed yesterday! This nigga sat there, looking like a testosteronized-queen talking about himself as though he were a prototype of the DL guy! Damn, I know I ain't the only one who could have picked that guy out from a group of men as a dick-loving brother (and my 'gaydar' ain't even the sharpest)! Everything about him reeked GAY, CLOSETED-QUEEN and a FAG-EPITOMIZED, yet he claims to be an authority on the DL lifestyle? It would have been funny if it weren't so annoying! How can this fool talk about being on an altruistic mission yet still confess that he fucks (GETS FUCKED) by men? I don't get it! He's out there leading the forum that DL men are the colossal arbiters of the AIDS virus YET he's still fucking around! This is insanity at its very best! He lacked credibility even BEFORE he opened his mouth! First of all, if folks can look at you and tell that you get fucked, YOU AIN'T DL! The only thing low about you is your ass straddling the ground! J.L. King and the other fem-kat (the one in dreads) do NOT even remotely represent the 'DL culture' (borrowing the popular phrase)! The unfortunate thing is that a lot of folks (men and women inclusive) are actually going to believe this guy's ranting and take it as an index of fact, whereas it's nothing but another nigga doing his hustle (making merchandise off the struggles of other people). Everything about that guy (J.L. King) reeked deceit and ignominy! How can he portray HIMSELF as a true representation of a life he's NEVER lived??? J.L. King was NEVER DL, he was a CLOSET FAG! Those are two distinctly-different terms. And just before anyone attempts to counter that, please be aware that having a girl and kids does not auomatically confer a DL status on you. I've seen MANY frivolously-gay men who have kids and have once been in pussy - it's all part of the denial process! Why do we keep getting this wrong..? Why is it all sooooooo warped? Is it that society just finds it better to blame someone for an apparent ill? It really doesn't make any sense. The real problem is UNPROTECTED SEX, be it with a man, a woman or with a goat! If you're fucking around, you expose yourself to the risks of HIV! It's not about WHO you fuck, it's about HOW you fuck! If you're fucking without the necessary precautions, then your ass is grossly at risk, period! I'm tired of people trying to point fingers. Even 'violently'-gay guys who constantly indulge in dangerous sex-parties have the guts to point fingers at DL guys! How in the world does that make sense??? Anyone who opens up his ass or her pussy to an 'unclad' dick has made an informed CHOICE to expose himself/herself to the AIDS virus!!! Someone said this somewhere and it should be adherred to: TREAT EVERYONE AS THOUGH THEY HAVE THE VIRUS!!! I've said it before, I'll say it again, I don't think ANYONE should be having unprotected sex (and I don't care how long you've known the person or been in a relationship) UNLESS they're trying to have a child. Automatically, that rules out ALL gay encounters! Fuck J.L. King! Fuck him big time..! I can't stand people who work on the fears of others just to benefit themselves financially! |

As for making money on a book, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, as a matter of fact just spoke today to a brand new tw member that wants to publish too. JL King does have a story to tell, and alot of it is a safe sex message. I wouldn't think nor did I hear him say he has unsafe sex nowadays. Does he look gay, maybe, also intellectual or like a book writer. Things that JL saysI may not ageee with, but I can see that he's stating facts & not glamorizing d/l. He's also stating what an average d/l man wants--to hit & run--no relationships, no going to a Knicks game, no candle lit dinner...fuck buddies, period. Neither JL--- nor this site generally ever glamorizes cheating, lying or the d/l lifestyle.... |

King was NEVER DOWNLOW, he was merely a closet case! The pertinent question to ask is: when was he last sexually-involved with a woman? He's a BONAFIDE gay man in denial, period! Not that there's anything wrong with that in itself, but he needs to pull that wool cover off his face! Anybody can make money off of anything, no doubt, but the moral standing behind that is what one questions. If someone today attempts to write a book impugning another's character, as long as it's done stylishly and can subvert legal ramifications, then he's allowed to do it too.. HOWEVER, does that make it right? J.L. King is not talking about unsafe sex, he's DEMONIZING DL men. I don't agree that he states 'facts'.. I think he states 'facts' as they may apply to him or he CHOOSES to see them. Gay men, bisexual men, straight men, DL men, MEN period sometimes just want to HIT and RUN! It's NOT an exclusive domain of a particular group! How many guys pick up girls at clubs, fuck them and then move on to the next? Is this not the reason why there's a whole lotta baby-momma dramas??? I don't think he's doing anything for anyone other than benefiting his pockets, in my own opinion. Folks need to wake up.. the question is not who you're fucking but HOW you're fucking! I'll say that again and again! Nobody glamorizes cheating, lying, infidelity or any of those schisms. Man is a product of his environment and social beliefs and people continue to struggle within themselves. I thought the whole essence of TW was to give a voice to the many struggles of men on the low.. to allow them share their experiences.. talk about what they're feeling or going through etc.. If this were another GAY site, I personally wouldn't have joined... just as if it were a site that was EXPLICITLY anti-DL, I wouldn't have joined! J.L. needs to go sit his fruity ass down somewhere and be real with himself! How can you even begin to say you're trying to correct an 'ill' when you're perpetuating it? |

Someone has 2 stand up & shock em yo. Look at that map that was shown on Oprah the whole south was in red,as the area with the most new hiv cases. Why would someone go through all that to profit?? Not to mention depict something knowing his family, mainly his daughter is in the center of all all this?? It doesn't make sense. Hopefully other couragous men would come forward with opinions on his book as well as books of their own. I'm sure there are other stories to tell. |
